Digital Life Heroes: Raising Conscious Digital Citizens

In today’s rapidly developing digital world, children spend more time online than ever before. For this reason, teaching students how to use technology safely, responsibly, and consciously has become an essential part of education. Our eTwinning project, “Digital Life Heroes”, was created with this purpose in mind.

Digital Life Heroes is an international collaborative project carried out with partner schools from Türkiye and Romania. The project aims to improve students’ digital citizenship skills while helping them become responsible and aware internet users.

Throughout the project, students participate in engaging and creative activities focusing on:

- Safe internet use  

- Cyberbullying awareness and prevention  

- Digital footprint awareness  

- Online ethics and respectful communication  

- Media literacy and critical thinking  

- Responsible technology use  

One of the most exciting parts of the project is that students design their own “Digital Heroes.” These characters help children express online safety rules creatively while improving collaboration and communication skills.

The project also includes online meetings, webinars, collaborative activities, digital storytelling, educational games, and interactive workshops. Through these activities, students not only improve their digital competencies but also strengthen their social, linguistic, and cultural awareness by interacting with peers from different countries.

Teachers and parents also play an important role in the project. Informative seminars and awareness activities are organized to support safe digital habits both at school and at home.

With Digital Life Heroes, we aim to raise a generation that can use technology consciously, safely, ethically, and productively. We believe that today’s digitally aware children will become tomorrow’s responsible digital citizens.
